Billing Frequently Asked Questions
We send all paper and email statements before the 5th of the month.
Payments are due by the 16th of the month, unless specified differently on the statement.
Prorating happens when the billing period is different from normal, so the price for the service is adjusted accordingly. For example, if you signed up on the 15th of the month, you would only paying for service from that day to the end of the month.
Do you prorate your bills? and when does it happen? Yes we do prorate our bills. If you signed up on any day, other than the first day of the month, your first bill is automatically prorated to reflect that. Although we ask you to pay the full amount for the first month, your account is automatically credited for services for the unused portion of the month. That means you will only be paying the full amount minus the credited balance the second month.
What happens if I did not make a payment by the due date? Accounts not paid by the 16th will incur a $4.00 late charge.
I've never got a statement in the mail. How do I know how much I owe? That's probably because you've opted for email billing. With email billing billing, all statements are sent to your primary email address (youraccountusername@gusaol.com)
I do not want to get my statements sent to my email. What should I do? You have a variety of options.
I've opted for email billing, but my email is not working/I never check my email. As with paper billing, even if you do not check your mail/email. You are obligated to pay your monthly amount before the 16th of each month.
What is the difference between paper, credit card, and email billing? Customers with paper billing receive their statements in their mail. Customers with email billing have their statements sent to their primary email address, and customers who opt to pay by credit-card have their invoices automatically charged to your credit-card account.
